Sega CD is a gaming console add-on which was released in late 1992. You must have a Sega Genesis to use it. While most of the games for Sega CD were lackluster to horrible, there are about 10-15 games which are *awesome*, many unavailable on any other console. Sonic CD, Lunar 1 & 2, Silpheed, Vay, Shining Force CD and Samurai Showdown are examples of its exceptional games. While only occasionally improving the graphics drastically over Sega Genesis, music was almost always improved tenfold. Many people are surprised to hear the Sega CD sold well over 5 million units worldwide and has over 200 games.

One of the best consoles evar made thanks to a strong library of great titles, good third party support, decent online sports games, and great gameplay and graphics.SInce that it is now dead, you can pick up this masterpiece at your local best buy for under $50, if you're lucky enough to find it.

Someone who consistently rebuffs top electronic brand names in favor of lesser-marketed, no-name, or doomed-to-fail electronics brands and products. Named after children of the 1980's who insisted on playing Sega Master System (SMS) instead of Nintendo Entertainment System (NES).
In addition to spurning NES for SMS, Sega Boy continually bucked the bandwagon by purchasing a Betamax VCR, NEC TV, Tandy computer, Primestar satellite dish, Game Park portable video gaming unit, Coby DVD player, Fujitsu laptop, IAudio MP3 player, and HD-DVD player.

The first 16-bit home console ever made by SEGA. The hardware is based on a modification of SEGA's System 16 arcade hardware, which was created in 1985(?). The SEGA Genesis was released in 1988 and competed with Nintendo's Super NES system, which was released in 1991. Although the graphics and sound were obviously inferior to the Super NES, the quality gameplay and innovative uses of the Genesis's hardware limitations were more than enough to challenge Nintendo in the marketplace for the entire 9 years of its lifespan.

A video games console created by SEGA. It was the sucessor to the SEGA Genesis/Mega Drive. The Saturn was 32-bit and the games were stored on CDs, opposed to the catridges from before.
Sega planned to bring out a new console that would have the "most advanced 2D graphics ever" but after seeing the specs for the new Sony Playstation, they had to have a serious re-think. The new Sega console, called SEGA Saturn, was given more chips that meant it could compete with the Playstation, but it was highly difficult to devlop for.
The console didn't sell very well at all, especially in America. Multiple software delays and a lack of games from 3rd party publishers meant not many bought it. The console was only a real sucess in Japan.
The Saturn could do much better jobs of 2D games than any other console, but the 3D games would often looks worse than Playstation.
However the Saturn has become a collector's prized possesion in recent years with a big market available.
Key games for the Saturn include Nights, SEGA Rally, Street Fighter Alpha 2, Radiant Silvergun, Virtua Fighter 2 and Panzer Dragoon Saga.

The Sega Dreamcast was a game system made in 1999. Due to many bad decisions, the system was abandoned in around 02'. They are as cheap as dirt now, (about 20$) and considering iso's of many can be grabbed for free, and the majority of the library can be had for super cheap at game exchanges that stock old games, it makes it an easy purchase.
Person 1: Lets get a bag of potato chips and play some Marvel vs Capcom 2 on my Sega Dreamcast!
