Moral High Ground

Taking a stance of being morally right in order to be viewed by your peers of being a good person, most people just use the moral high ground as an attempt to look good in an argument.

Person 1: "Michael J Fox can't use an Etch-A-Sketch because of Parkinson's."
Person 2: "Wow, that is so offensive."
Person 1: "Stop taking the moral high ground."

The irrational insecurity felt by moralphobes; people living alternative lifestyles who realize that others find their lifestyles morally repugnant. Usual symptoms include retaliatory labeling with words such as homophobia and intolerance, and duh-weebish abuse of the recommend for deletion link.

The predictable political, (see politics), moralphobic response is to curb free speech and promote intolerance of the expression of moral values dissenting from their own.

When a person is OUTRAGED on social media so that their friends will think they're a good person. Moral peacocks are famous for spreading fake memes because they don't actually read the news or care IRL.

If you really cared about the Middle East, you'd *know* the American news already reported that attack. Stop moral peacocking!
