The panic caused by the news that Hostess has declared bankruptcy, resulting in chaos at grocery and convenience stores in an effort to get the last Twinkie, etc.

The Hosteria at Ralph's was so crazy that I just left without picking up my groceries this weekend.

hocker pole

In the late 1970’s, early 80’s, kids in Scranton, Pennsylvania designated one pole on the school playground to be the hocker pole, where at lunch or recess, kids would spit there lung or nasal congestion.

“I just threw that kid into the hocker pole. He has everybody’s germs now.”

A person who "giggle-hoots" after they laugh.

Example:

Hotter than the devil's asshole

A more extreme expression to convey intense heat.

Similar to "hotter than hell", and more uncomfortably specific.

It is hotter than the devil's asshole and our a/c is broken.

Don't touch that plate, it's hotter than the devil's asshole.
