My cousin always wears purple socks on Wednesday. He hopes that eventually other people will start doing it and he will become famous for creating the trend. Whenever I see him on Wednesday I say, "Jaime, stop trying to make fetch happen."

Happener

Modern hippy hipster types who actually accomplish tasks of great magnitude and worth. A happener, much like our modern definition of a hipster, does have certain interests in counter culture lifestyle and the various accouterments that go along with such. The marked difference between a hipster (being frankly the modern version of the hippie or renaissance person), is that happeners are always involved in some great events. Happeners are the hero's of the universe. May statues be built in their honor.

Did you see how intensely that woman back there was involved with her artwork, she was a total happener.

A discreet way of referring to various sexual acts, often used by women. It certainly refers to more than a quick kiss, but can denote anything from a cloths-on make-out session to full-blown intercourse. The lack of explicit detail is intentional on the part of the user of the phrase.

Girl: "Well, Jim and I ended up sharing a sleeping bag on that camping trip, and stuff happened. Now we're dating."

The phrase that people use when saying a ridiculously embarrassing story about something that happened to to them. To save themselves from total humiliation they say "it happened to a friend of mine".

George: God, I am so embarrassed, I can't believe Stacy found out I was cheating with her.

Bill: Don't worry, at least you didn't cheat on her with what you thought was her sister but turned out to be her fat brother.

George: huh?

Bill: It happened to a friend of mine...
