Dopamine Farming

Dopamine farming refers to the habitual behavior of engaging in multiple digital activities simultaneously, such as scrolling through social media feeds, watching a show or movie, or playing a game, with the intention of eliciting a rush of dopamine from one or more of these sources.

This phenomenon often involves having multiple screens or windows open concurrently, creating a sensory overload aimed at maximizing the potential for dopamine release
She's dopamine farming, scrolling tik tok on her phone as she watched the bachelor on the tv and had her email open on her laptop hoping for the acceptance letter that would finally make her happy.

Stolen dopamine

(n.): The sudden loss of motivation and satisfaction that occurs when someone else asks you to complete a task you've been meaning to do, just as you're about to start it. This results in the loss of personal credit and a sense of accomplishment, as if the other person has taken away your opportunity to showcase your initiative and independence.
I’m so pissed at my wife. Just as I was about to unload the dishwasher on my own she asked if I can unload the dishwasher. Total stolen dopamine situation!
