The moment when, in the British TV show Doctor Who, a new person first enters the TARDIS and realizes it is bigger on the inside. A BOIM stands for a Bigger On the Inside Moment. BOIM's are usually accompanied by running around the TARDIS, and gaping.

"Whoa did you see Rory's BOIM last saturday?"
