Due to Putin essentially rewriting the rules in order to become dictator for life, and him essentially being able to tap into the government/oligarch money whenever he wants and for whatever purpose, it has led some to believe he might secretly be the richest individual on Earth, having a net worth technically far more than that of famous business figures in the Western world, such as Bill Gates, Elon Musk, and Warren Buffett. His net worth may even be over a trillion US dollars, which would make him significantly wealthier than Elon Musk, the wealthiest public figure on Earth, as of writing.
