A descendent of original Spanish-speaking settlers/Hispanics or Native American people of Texas. It is derived from the word “Tejas”, the original Mexican term for “Texas”. These descendant’s lineage dates back prior to Texas becoming a U.S. state. They’ve also incorporated some Anglo culture into the original Hispanic/Native culture.
Eva Longoria comes from Tejano/a family from Texas. Her family lineage can be dated back nine generations. Eva grew up speaking only English like many other Tejanos.

Tegan and sara have 5 albums out: Under Feet Like Ours, This Business of Art, If It Was You, So Jealous, and The Con. Tegan and Sara are one of the few bands out there that have stayed true to themselves and totally kick ass. During live shows, they like to show off their sense of humor and tell stories to their audience. They are absolutely hilarious. Tegan and Sara are AMAZING!
