A nickname used for BTS, derived from 방탄이들 (Bangtan+ deul Korean plural marker). When translated into English, due to the nature of English grammar rules, it becomes "Bangtan (base) + i/ie (Informal particle)+s(Plural marker in English" or Bangtannies.

Can be shortened to 탄이들 (Romanized: Tanideul), more commonly used as Tannies.

Korean origin first used on twitter by user @destinyjjk.
