streets of rage

Side scrolling beat em up manufactured for the sega megadrive/ sega genesis in the early 90's. Smooth and original gameplay made the game such a hit that a sequel was made, which was even better. There was a third game made, which had more moves availiable, but it wasn't anywhere near as popular as the first two.

Every time I faced the Mona & Lisa bosses in SOR I lost about five lives because I couldn't hit them. It was several years after first playing the game for the first time before i realised that I should stand with my back to them and press B and C buttons together to backkick when they approach. Saves me a few police cars.

streetball

Streetball is basketball, but with certain rules relaxed. People do not resort to calling pussy fouls. Teams are usually 3 a side, and played on one basket. Over time, the game has become assosiated with tricks and difficult dunks, but this is only in conjunction with making the basket

Like "Word on the Streets", but used mostly when your source of information is a social networking platform. However, can also be used otherwise as an alternative to "Word on the Streets". Relevant in today's fast moving, all pervading and progressive digital era.

Male X: Yo, did you hear the news about that hottie you were trying to get with forever?
Male Y: No, what's up?
