White working-class kids loved the lively reggae music brought by the Jamaican kids. They often shaved their heads and dressed in their working-class style of bluejeans, doc marten boots, and braces (thin suspenders) They enjoyed going to reggae gigs with the black Jamaican kids and skanked together to the reggae music.
There was and still is no racism involved. Skinheads got their name because of their shaved heads. They were originally also called lemonheads, eggheads, suedeheads, and other names. However, skinhead ultimately stuck. Not to be confused with "boneheads" who dress similar but unlike skinheads, boneheads are racist neonazis that are not welcomed in the skinhead community.

You'll have a bunch of dumbass friends who think they are cool but once they graduate they aren't shit. It is filled with a bunch of old beaners with truck crews that hit on high school girls and knock them up before they realize that the guy is a loser who will work at the plant for the rest of his life. Also Pasadena High School host the Burn Sam annually and kick Rayburn's ass! Also Pasadena Memorial is full of a bunch of stupid white kids who aren't rich enough to live in clear lake but aren't poor enough to go to South Houston so congrats to you middle class losers, you're one step above us drunkies. Oh and all the high schools are full of gays and bisexuals. Seriously it's full of them. They wear tight pants and have long stylish hair and everywhere you go you see two girls kissing or two guys licking each others balls. Its true I see it everyday.

Hipster skinheads are young (usually middle class) people who take influence from '70s and '80s British skinhead fashion. They typically wear polo shirts or plaid/checked shirts buttoned up to the top, along with skinny jeans, Dr. Martens or Converse high tops and perhaps a military jacket. An important accesory is a pair of braces (known in the US as suspenders) to hold the jeans up. Hipster skinheads often have the back and sides of their head shaved, leaving the top long, although some have their head completely shaved.
Apart from dress sense, there are few other common features between hipster skinheads. Many listen to hardcore punk: both from the newer wave of bands that have recently received some popularity with the indie press (such as Gallows, Fucked Up and Rolo Tomassi); and also classic old-skool bands (such as Minor Threat, Bad Brains and Agnostic Front). Another common feature is that many hipster skinheads love the film This Is England, which is very influential upon their fashion. Like other hipsters, they tend to be fairly skinny, although unlike other hipsters some sport fairly macho tattoos.
Interestingly, there has been a revival of skinhead fashion among non-hipsters in the UK as well, particularly chavs but also some punks. The general resurgence of skinhead fashion in the UK is reflected by the appearance of the character Cook in the popular British TV series Skins. However, Cook is not really a hipster skinhead.

It began with an offshoot from the rude boy movement, but morphed into a few denominations: Trojan Skins, White Power/Blood and Honour Skins, Anarchist Commie Skins and a few others. Skins have a worldwide reputation for being racist (not always true) and violent(an important, defining aspect), but they're generally ok people if you don't cross them. unless your coloured and you meet a Nazi skin, then your fucked.
Skinhead drees included:
JACKETS: Bomber/flight, donkey jackets
TOPS: Ben Sherman shirts/polo shirts, tight and/or sleeveless t-shirts, possibly with Nazi/B+H or Trojan prints
JEANS: Levi/Wrangler straitlegs, rolled up to show off boots
BOOTS: Docs mostly, laces determine denomination (see www.wikipedia.com), but sometimes work boots or monkey boots. usually steel-capped to aid violence and protect feet. illustrate the working-class ethics of skins.
BRACES: 3/4 inch length, any more is seen to be faking being a skin. again, colours denote denominations.
HAIR: short obviously, between a number 1 and a number 4, but usually a 2 or 3. sometimes kickboxers moheichans are seen (short sides, slightly longer middle), but not often.
skins wear what they wear because its all ideal for fighting and living in shit. ive got a lot of skin friends and they all live in shit flats or squats. skins are categorically working class.
you shouldn't cross the local skins. they will eat you up and spit you out. and the cops will never find your body. if your a proper punk you'll be fine, but watch out if your a little chav/rudie cos they will hurt you.
all in all, dont hate skins cos they're violent and eletist. even the racist ones have good reasons for what they do.
