The "cool shoe shine" is something that Noodle tells you to acquire in the song 19-2000. It is unknown what the cool shoe shine is, or the method you are supposed to use to acquire it, but it is clear this object has some importance to Noodle, due to it being one of the few things she can say in English.

An infamous bit of Engrish from the Japanese version of Super Mario Sunshine. It happened to make its way into the English (!!!) version of Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door.

To put someone back in their place by reminding them of their roots or some former activity. To call someone on a bit of hypocrisy. From the film "Goodfellas" in which Billy Batts intentionally goads Tommy DeVito by derisively reminding him he was a shoeshine boy.

"Ugg, did you see Jeremy is drinking PBR? What a hipster."

"Go get your shinebox, you drank it just last week to get in good with the indie broad."

Shine-box

(verb transitive; present-progressive, "shine-boxing;" past tense, "shine-boxed"): To repeatedly taunt and insinuate another person on a sensitive topic to the point that the insulted party becomes violently angry.

Billy Batts shine-boxes Tommy in the film "Goodfellas" by continuing to refer to Tommy's past, in spite of Tommy's repeated requests for Batts to stop. This reaches a climax when a pretense to be respectful is shattered as Batts yells loud enough for everyone in the bar to hear, "Now go home and get your fucking shine box!"
