someone (usually a male) who spends time with an unsuspecting platonic friend in hopes of one day eventually getting laid by the unsuspecting friend.

Tyrone: Man Duncan has been hanging out with Ashley since 4th grade and he aint hit yet.

Jamal: Ashley don't want anything to do with Duncan in that sense. He just a platonic predator...you know he thinks he'll get it one day.

Phrase. Used to describe the splicing, mixing, or overlay of raw recorded audio or video files to create, augment, or twist the narrative of the original event. A re-contextualizing of key words, phrases, or images to influence the opinions of viewers or listeners. Individuals or groups can be targeted using this device, often with malicious intent.

Example: predatory editing is commonly used by Bachelor or Bachelorette series editors to portray certain individuals as "villains" or "good guys" to boost show ratings.

Sexual Predator (n.) Anybody who obtains sexual contact via less-than-honest means or a person that enjoys "hunting down" their prey. Many sexual predators attack only a particular type of victim usually based on height, ethnicity or age. Sexual predators are usually friendly, self-assured individuals who target their victims carefully, rather than choosing at random.
