People's Main Event

A fight on a fight card that garners significant attention from the general fight community because its back story imbues it with a value that generally overshadows the co-main and main event. This fight is usually slotted away from the co-main and main event slots but does not necessarily mean it is not the co-main or main event. It is the fight people want to see regardless of what else is on the card.

This phrase is generally used by MMA reporters New York Rick and Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour.

New York Rick: So what fight do you believe should have been the people's main event UFN :76?

The idea that, if someone who has been particularly negatively affected by an experience that he/she went through in their past life, then that person will continue to hold such grudges and anger, and affect other people around them, continuing a never-ending cycle of hate and anger on other people.
