A strategy in real estate where you acquire a property that is in need of repair but instead of fix and flipping it you fix it and hold it as a long term asset for rental purposes.
Fix and flip is when you intend to sell the property.
Buy and hold investors usually purchase a turn-key or tenant occupied properties.

Fix and hold strategy is when you take a tear down property to fix and hold long term
