Southernism for something very sparse or fine. Term given to the very fine blades of grass that ring the green in golf. Hence the phrase, "Fine as frog's hair."

I thought I was on the green but I was only in the frog's hair.

In Southern California (could reach out further than Southern California though), the term is describing the elderly old women around the area. They for some odd reason have a blue tint to their grey hair.. so.. they are known as blue hairs.

Pineapple Hair

1) A name for the style of hair some people sport, usually spiked straight up to give the slight appearance of a pineapple.
2) A nickname for somebody who has said hair style, but others around him/her don't appreciate their existence.

1) Damn, where did he get his hair cut? That's some pure pineapple hair right there.
2) Ugh, look at Pineapple-hair over there, thinking he's better than everyone else. Let's show him what we think.
