I just thought you should know(IJTYSK) will ALWAYS be there to relay these messages!

IJTYSK is typically used as a preceding comment, meant to soften the blow of inevitable bad news.

Usage of IJTYSK as a trailing comment is not uncommon, thought more in line with southern classic "Bless your heart"

"Class dismissed!"

"I just thought you should know...you didn't assign weekend homework"

"I just finished my first 5k!"

"I just thought you should know...over 5 million people run a 5k at least once a month."

"This restaurant is great, the owner is so friendly."

"I just thought you should know...he doesn't pay his taxes and cheats on his wife."

"I just made an entry in to the Urban Dictionary!"

"I just thought you should know...anybody can add anything to Urban Dictionary, it's not an accomplishment. It's like bragging that you got accepted to Facebook."

A phrase often heard as 2020 nears its end and people are forced to acknowledge some very strange things.

To have the family home for Thanksgiving would be suicidal, and I never thought I'd be saying this.

When you search something up on Urban dictionary and have to pour bleach in your eyes, then apologize to your school board.

"Insert student name come to the office." You hustle down the dirty ragged hallways of hell, waiting for punishment.

"Why did you search that up?" the bearded principal says in disgust.

You stutter, "I'm sorry, school administrators. I thought this meant something else..." The bearded principal glares at you, clicking his pen.

"Fine," he says. The room practically darkens, "I forgive you, child.."

A political channel on YouTube that talks about how bad American capitalism is. He sometimes says in his videos that countries like China are "helping smaller countries to get out of American influence." If he covers a topic, most likely Vox has an explanation that won't make you go "Jesus christ what the fu*k was that about?!"

You: Hmm, a video on the housing crisis in America by a YouTube channel by the name of Second Thought. Hope it's good.
