pop a cap

To fire a gun, usually at someone.

Refers to the fact that guns fire when the trigger is pulled and causes a firing pin to literally "pop" an explosive cap attached to the end of a bullet, causing the bullet to spiral out of the grooved barrel at tremendous speed.

The rap artist stated that he would pop a cap into another rap artist, but we all know that the state would never grant him a concealed carry license due to his convictions for multiple felonies, so he'll have to purchase a firearm through the black market.

synth pop

The ultimate use of synthesizers in rock (closest genre it is related to but its place can be disputed) music.
Uses electric sounds, and usually only consist of only synthesizers using the drum parts on them for beats.
Some synth pop bands can be considered glam rock, or electronica however it can reach into almost any genre depending on the band.

Circuit Pop and Asterix are super at that synth pop type thing.

Barley Pop

A barley pop is a crisp, super cold beer that you throw back on the reg. You can reg supercolds across a variety of climates, including the dry air of Arizona.

Coors light is a prime example of a barley pop, with a frost brewed liner, 2 super cold blue bars, and scenic Rocky Mountains on the can.

I know a guy who can really throw back barley pops. He reg's supercolds on the reg. You must drink them at the proper temperature despite multiple climates. Andrew Worth can throw 'em back when you're pullin supercolds

indie pop

A sub genre of Indie Rock that includes music that is lighter and less depressing than most indie rock. Typically music you can jump or bob your head to, it is the opposite side of indie than emo. Because of its first-listen appeal, this is the music that your commercial radio listening friends end up buying after they have heard it in your car a couple of times.

hip pop

Every video and record you hear and see today. Real Hip HOP artists don't get their records played on the radio every 20 seconds. If an artist is rappin' about being a pimp, clothes, hoes and rims, he is HIP POP. Old school HIP HOP was about the knowledge. Knowledge apparently doesn't sell records anymore.

Every video and record you hear and see today. Hip HOP has been dead for a very long time. So has Rap.
