A mental disorder that affects a persons well being causing dissorientation, and/or loss of reality. Hallucinations are usually included along with delusions. It should be treated with medication (anti-psychotics). Psychosis can affect attitudes and behaviors, and are also linked with other conditions.

Cynthia shaked horribly with overwhelming hallucinations, and decided to ask her doctor if she had psychosis.
