Origin - Social Media jargon in association to messenger apps, including but not limited to,
Facebook.
1.) Verb - The conscious act of starting to type then stopping to induce a reaction (typically negative & emotional) from the receiving
party;
2.) Verb - The intentional act of intentionally typing, deleting, and
re-typing (usually nonsense) and lastly suddenly logging off without sending any message for the sheer satisfaction of knowing that the other person is an avid dot watcher resulting in an unfavorable emotional response in the receiving
party, in which their own anxiety/panic level starts rising with each key
stroke at the endless possibilities of the unknown;
3.) Verb - that moment when you suddenly realize that you are either being fucked around with by some maniacal bitch who knows that you obsessively dot watching, or that same person sending the message is so pissed off that you are scared to read the
book that is being written.
Please see Dot watch
Example, "So after we went out on our first date, we started messaging about strange sexual fantasies, and that is when I realuzed that I was a
victim of
Dot-Taunting for over an hour!
I guess she really wasn't into me, bro."
