Fact buddy

A fact buddy is an individual with whom one exchanges factual information on a frequent or infrequent basis.

There are rarely discrete terms of commitment or participation agreed upon verbally or in writing between the concerned parties. The very nature of the bond between fact buddy and fact buddy is a deep understanding and appreciation for facts. Presumably, both individuals are lifelong learners that act as sponsers to each other, offering a safe and encouraging environment where one may share knowledge without being deemed pretentious or condescending.
“Hey Dude, how bout this weather eh? Gorgeous sunrise!! Sweet surfing mate!”
“Yeah brah. It may look nice, but I read that the color is often due to the level of pollution in the air.”
“Seriously? I never knew that. Interesting.”
“True story. Can you hand me my blue sun sunnies dude?”
“They’re actually cyan.”
Righteous dude. We both learned something today and didn’t take insult. We are the best fact buddies!”

in the office ten years later ..

“Can you hand me that pen dude? This pencil is smudging everywhere.”
“Actually, this pen is a gel pen, which is notably far less superior than a fine print ball point steel barrel .3 mm pen. -If smudging is the variable you are most concerned with. -You could do gel, but you want to make sure you have quality paper that can absorb the ink quickly as it takes longer to dry than a ball point. Otherwise you may find the pencil more tolerable.”
“Thanks fact buddy, do you happen to have one I can borrow? I’ll have to look in to getting better writing utensils!”
“We make the best recommendations for one another.”
“I know. I love your smiles encrusted knowledge bombs.”

Fact

A fact is what can be unquestionably and unquestionably established. When establishing a fact, an objective approach is necessary, which in science must be supported by exact proof. In philosophy, a rational method is necessary, with impartial re-examination, without interfering with belief
Person 1 : Wanna hear a kewl fact?
Person 2 : Sure m8
Person 1 : Did you know that you can sleep with your eyes open?

Bogan Fact

Something one bogan tells another bogan therefor making the information true. This most definitely gets passed on to more bogans or anyone the bogan comes into contact with. Bogan facts are considered annoying and/or funny to educated people but mostly annoying. The educated person will most likely not argue with the bogan fact as it becomes too frustrating to prove a point as the bogan will only listen to other uneducated bogans.
A Cab Sav drinking yuppie sitting in a restaurant with his virginal fiancé overhears a couple of bogans talking at the bar.

Bogan 1: Must be one million fuck’n degrees out there.

Bogan 2: I still think that whole global warming stuff is a huge pile of shit.

Bogan 1: For real

Bogan 2: Too right

Bogan 1: Deadset

Bogan 2: Bloody oath

Cab Sav Drinking Yuppie: And that, my dear, is what they call a bogan fact.

Bames Fact

A Bames fact is when someone answers a question, or makes a statement with what they assume to be correct in a factual manner, when in fact it is completely false.

A Bames fact is commonly followed up with aggressive insistence, even when shown blatant disproof of the Bames fact.
Rarely upon disproof, a Bames fact can be followed up with wild theories as to how the receiver of the Bames fact is somehow at fault.
IE: "Dude I recorded the conversation, listen to it!" - "That must have came through your speakers wrong"
"Did you know that pizza originated in Asia?"
"idk man that sounds like a Bames fact"

"I heard somewhere that ----------"
"are you sure that isn't a Bames fact?
