Elaine: We aren't really fuckbuddies because we go on dates and stuff. Date buddies?
Logan: Date buddies is a good concept tho.
Elaine: I actually really like it.
Logan: I enjoy nice dinners and dates n stuff. The things you wanna do but can’t really do with the boys y'know?
Elaine: Low key wishing it was a thing.
Logan: Why can’t it be a thing?
Elaine: I'm adding this to Urban Dictionary.
Logan: Good plan. Historically known as the date buddy pioneers.

A female 'friend' who shows no outward interest in you, but will go all out to prevent you from hooking with other women by patting you on your back while other women are watching.
I was so ready to hook up with the sheila, but annie saw us and ran in just to pat me on the back and whisper shit in my ear.
what a date guarding bitch.

With everyone lacking time for anything outside of work resembling an actual social life many take what’s called a powerdate. Not unsimilar to a power nap the power date takes a traditional date and compounds into one short sweet but unfulfilling chance to get to minimally spend time with someone.
hey Jess what are you doing for lunch? I’m not taking a lunch I have a brief I have to get through and fit in a ten minute power date with Paul before my scheduled panic attack at 1.

When two male co-workers go to lunch together without any one else from the office and without inviting anyone else.
The office decided to go to Chipotle for lunch, but Jae and A-Train gay-dated it up and went to Kabob together instead.

When to people are dating and the male doesn't make very many flirty moves during the date (ie: holding hands, excessive compliments) because he is unaware of the females intentions. It's like dating but in a nonserious way. It's a terrible limbo, stuck between the dating and friend zone. People stuck here are trapped and have no clear guidance on how to act around the female, everyday they hope for the sweet release of "oh i just like you as a friend" or "lets make this more serious." But it never comes.....
Male: I like you. It's cool we've been going out so much.
Female: I didn't know that. I thought we were Friend Dating. You never flirt with me.
Male: I just tried to kiss you and told you I liked you... are you serious?
