By the end of the date your are feeling like yup I am better being single...

The date: Yeah my last boyfriend/girlfriend did that and yeah you look like you are like all the rest.

me: Look I am out on a date I don't need to hear about your string of x-files...

false equivalence

When used on Reddit or other social media, a claim of false equivalence is not, as one might expect, pointing to a fallacy of inconsistency. Instead, the term is indignant shorthand indicating that the respondent is offended that someone had the audacity to make a comparison that illustrated how ridiculous, unreasonable, and/or stupid the thing they said really was.

Comparing Hitler to Stalin is a false equivalence.

false anger

The kind of anger you get when you're mad at something that, when thought out, is nothing to be mad at at all. Usually caused by lack of sleep or previous anger that day.

Ray was furious at Troy because Ray came downstairs to read, and Troy had the TV on, which was very distracting. (Ray has false anger and not regular anger because he came to the room with the TV on already, and he could have gone anywhere else to read.)

false sleeping tug

Typically during a first semester of college, but applicable for all years, the completely awkward situation where your roommate is under the false impression that you are asleep and it is therefore ok to masturbate. You though, are awake, and cannot say anything for the sake of embaressement on both parts.

"dude, Smith thought i was asleep last night and pulled a false sleeping tug"

"ah nasty dude did you say anything?"

"Nah man I couldn't, i just couldn't"

Exact opposite of shart. When you get a feeling that you really need to take a shit but after being seated on the throne you only fluctuate.
