welfare party

A party that occurs between the 1st and 15th of each month, often in the summer. All the welfare recipients in the neighborhood come together and groove to car stereo tunes outside, while their children are running around with nobody watching them, shoeless, and fighting with sticks. For a real shindig all the food stamp (EBT) cards are pulled together for porterhouse steaks, delicate shrimps, and the most elegant cheese balls you will find. Of course followed up by "red" Kool-Aid, natural ice, and watermelon.

Keke: Daddy can we go over to Deedee's house she is having a cookout.

Dad: (glances at the calendar), shit you ant goin to that welfare party!

Keke: Awww daddy why not? They got more food over there than we've had all month.

Daddy: ohh alright, but bring me back a plate!

House party

A party usually thrown by a high schooler/teenager without their parents' knowledge or permission. Typically thrown while parents are on vacation or gone for an extended amount of hours. Classic high school house party involves alcohol, weed, music, and people hooking up and/or having sex. Many times the house is left in a complete mess and sometimes is damaged. Very risky, as parents may find out, neighbors may complain, and cops may get called if it's wild enough - but if done right it's so worth it.

Joe's parents went to Connecticut for the weekend so he threw a house party.

bachelor party

A party lasting several days and nights that is thrown out of town by the grooms closest male friends, in 'honor' of the bachelor getting married. The groom celebrates things he won't be allowed to do once he is married some of them being entertained by attractive naked women, consuming large amounts of adult beverages, and acting in a manor that would never be displayed in front of his bride. A few of the essentials include: beer, hard alcohol, strippers, lap dances, hangovers, inappropriate conversation, questionable behavior, an air-tight 'bro-code', and an extremely annoyed bride-to-be who goes along with these charades lest she be 'old-fashioned, unsupportive, a stick in the mud,' or a 'bro-hater.' She is told by society that "this is a right of passage, or tradition that every groom is entitled to regardless of how she feels. So deal with it." What a great way to start off a marriage. It's simply an essential way to make your bride feel loved, respected, and cherished.

Did you hear about Todd's bachelor party? It's the night before his wedding and there's going to be a ton of women and alcohol.
