Similar to a Funsponge, a Banteater consumes all the banter in a conversation, leaving a once fun chat flat and dull.

It's the art of conversation and the goodness of it with someone. It originates from Ireland, came across to the North Uk and finally to the South sometime around the 2000s.

My mate Tom has 'good' banta. He's fun to meet and chat with.
You can also say someone has 'bad' banta, although you'd usually say 'shit crack'
