During an awkward moment, this hand gesture is used to mark the situation as awkward, usually making the situation noticeably more awkward. The awkward tepee is made by placing both of your hands/arms in a bottom-less triangle surrounding your head. Can also be performed with two people using one arm each, connecting with both heads in the "tepee." Both heads must be IN the tepee or it's just not right.

Girl 1- "Say something awkward"
Boy- "huh?"
Girl 2- "Spread em!"
Boy- "huh?!"
Girl 1- "Yes!" *awkward tepee*

One, like songminjae, who speaks, pauses and laughs intermittently. However, this is not done for comedic effect, but is indicative of what might be a more serious speech impediment.

awkward turkey 

a derivative of the awkward turtle, when one holds his/her hands in the shape of a turkey by clenching one fist with the thumb pointed outwards, and placing the other hand at the bottom of the clenched hand (wiggling of the fingers to make it look as if the turkey is moving is also acceptable).

A brotha came up to me and said let's bang. I responded by giving him the awkward turkey. He thought it was a gang sign and immediately busted his peice and said, "What'd you say to me you cracka ass bitch!?"

Awkward Silence 

An unpleasant term for the result of Year 7s going out. ussually stop after a couple of weeks, but in many circumstances stays there for the whole time. sometimes the term "awkward silence syndrome" is used.

Jeff: hey Dave, how's it going with you and Emma?
Dave: not so good, i suppose there must be some Awkward Silence syndrome that we need to sort out.
Jeff: Bummer. I hear that usually goes away within a couple of weeks though.
Dave: Well, I hope so, cause if it doesn't I'm gonna have to wait till I'm not an annoying little freak who no-one in their right mind would ever want to even look at.
Jeff: I know Dave, all of us want to be in Year 10, but we'll just have to wait......
