When a website is available to some internet surfers on different ISP's while not being available on others.

Can you view the website "www.google.com"?
No, I can't, but you can for some reason.
Must be an Internet Hiccup.

Internet Whiteout

The state you reach during web surfing when anything you look at becomes bland and just like everything else you've looked at. Even music playing in the background gets tuned out.

a website that has been rigged to send a virus into your computer just by entering it. these usually are fake pornography sites. older computers, with little to no virus protection, are the most vulnerable.

internet baggage

The search results that are found when looking up someone's name. Internet baggage can be good if the information that is pulled up by your name documents achievements, education, work or news clipping which contain your name. Internet baggage can be bad however if the information pulled up by your name points at low points in your life such as mention of your divorce etc.

"Dang, I looked that guy up on google and he has soooo much internet baggage. He must be old!"

"Wow, I pulled up her internet baggage and learned so much about everything she has accomplished."

"I googled your name and didn't find any internet baggage. You're a clean slate, tell me more about yourself."

"Man all that internet baggage burst my bubble!"

"I found out we have so much in common through (his/her) internet baggage."

Internet Day

An internet day is a day on which you can use the internet.

For most people, every day is an internet day, so the term is useless. However, when you cannot afford a monthly internet subscription, and you have to buy internet on a day by day basis, the term takes on a whole new meaning.

Flatmate 1: Oh did you hear about .....?
Flatmate 2: No?
Flatmate 1: Google it.

Flatmate 2: It's not an internet day...

Flatmate 1: Internet Day?
Flatmate 2: INTERNET DAY, YES MATE.

Internet mirage

In social networking, an internet mirage is when a user is offline or inactive but appears online or currently active to another computer. This only becomes apparent once the user of that computer attempts to communicate with them. Often, this leads to paranoid feelings of unpopularity, because the user erroneously assumes that the person left because they didn't want to speak to them.

Simon: "DAAVE my good mate, how're you doing?"

Computer: "David is now offline."

Simon: ":O What a douche!... oh wait, it was probably just an internet mirage... or was it?"
