used in place of other words such as dumbass, ass clown, cunt cap, or idiot. people who live in small swedish towns in the middle of kansas are ones most commonly referred to as ass hats... nobody really knows why or where this phrase was started... but tho said to have been started long ago it is slowly starting to make a comeback starting in kansas and spreading to several known places such as smithville missouri and even omaha nebraska... tho unknown why it is making a comeback, it is greatly becoming a common work among the high school crowd and will most likely soon if not already hit your school!
