Though intended as an insult, the outburst instead reflects upon the juvenile nature and simple-mindedness of the speaker, placing the "idort" as a cool, calm and collected alternative to the oft-rampant jingoism and bias found within the gaming fandom.
Originated in an MS Paint comic widely circulated around 4chan's /v/ (video game) board, with the proto-idort claiming ownership of both the Nintendo DS and Sony PSP handheld gaming systems.
