Scum Sands

Come fourth of July weekend, Scum Sands is an extremely trashy part of York Beach. Commonly seen are white trash single moms on the boardwalk, naked kids being changed on the beach, white kids who want to be black at the basketball court, and the occasional bike cop.

Person 1: When we go up to York Beach this summer, will we go to Short Sands or Long Sands?

Person 2: Long sands, unless you want to step on a heroin needle at Scum Sands.
