The term god modding comes from roleplaying. God modding is creating a character who is of an invincible nature and can do anything. God modders are also infamous for bunnying other characters' actions.

An example of god modding is making a spikey blonde hair character that can fly and toss energy balls that can level cities while being nigh indestructable.

macro modding

"Macro-modding or Macro-mod" is when the lowest tier staff member of some sort without permissions to warrant punishments is acting as if they're a moderator who's able to warrant said punishment.

Helper Player1: Don't spam or you will get punished, Player2.
Member Player2: No macro modding, Player1.

Mods can be quests, items, houses for the player, towns, shops, factions, or altering technical stuff(scripts, textures, meshes). There are also total conversion mods, which are mods to an insane degree

A notable moddable game is Oblivion, but beware, buying this game means you will sell your soul(assuming gamers have souls)
