Linus Torvalds is the genius from Finland who created Linux and wrote the first Linux kernel. He is an extremely talented programmer and yet he's very modest. (The guy doesn't even make a profit from any of the distributions of Linux out there.) He is the total opposite of Microsoft's Bill Gates (who fears the growth that Linux has experienced in the past 14 years). Linus is a creative, good natured programmer who derives satisfaction from putting out an open source OS that actually works. On the other hand, Bill Gates is an unoriginal person, who likes destroying small companies, and derives satisfaction from making grossly unnecessary gobs of money from selling software that crashes often.

Linus religion

Linslam. A religion with roots in a small sims/games discord that involves the practice of praising linus. It is a semi closed religion that requires a sacrifice of a left toe to join. After joining practitioners must praise 3 times a day and refer to themselves as children of Linus. Outside of the religion petitioners are called Linuslims.

Lexus RX

The official car of Bay Area (especially) Tiger Moms since 1998. Lexus RXs can be seen shuttling little Asian kids to basketball practice, violin lessons, or SAT prep sessions from San Francisco to Silicon Valley. Yes, a lot of people say the RX is a white mom's car, and go to Marin County and you'll see why, but the RX, especially in California, is the Asian mom's car of choice. Bonus points if there are seat covers/plush headrests.

I went to take a practice SAT in San Jose and all the cars in the parking lot were Lexus RXs.
