Christ Illusion

The ninth studio album by the American thrash metal band and death metal pioneer Slayer. The album was released on August 8, 2006. This is the first album to have Dave Lombardo's drumming skills in since 1990's 'Seasons in the Abyss', and he is more than welcomed back into the Slayer crew. It's a definite improvement from Slayers work over the last 15 years. Lyrical themes explored on Christ Illusion deal with terrorism, warfare and religion, not exactly new to the Slayer style. Doesn't grasp the feeling 'Reigning Blood' or 'Seasons in the Abyss' had, but it comes fairly damn close. A definite must must for Slayer fans of all kinds.

Person 1: It seems like a lot of '80's thrash bands are making great albums over the passed 3 or 4 years.

Person 2: Like who? And what albums?

Person 1: Megadeth with United Abominations, Metallica with Death Magnetic, and Slayer with Christ Illusion.

Person 2: Thanks, I'll probably check those albums out!

Illusions of grandeur

An Illusion is the state of being deceived. Grandeur is the quality of being impressive or awesome. Therefore, someone who has Illusions of grandeur is deceiving themselves into thinking they are impressive or awesome in some way. In reality, no one else sees them in this way.

Ann Weiss thought she knew what she was talking about - like she was some authority on English or something - but in reality, she was having illusions of grandeur.

Illusion of Gaia

An awesome RPG game developed by Squaresoft/Enix and released for the SNES. Its stars a boy names Will, who goes on a journey to find his father, using a flute as a weapon against dark forces that appear on earth. He is joined later by his friends Erik, Seth, Lance, a princess named Kara, and a flower girl named Lily. Will later finds out that his real mission is to stop a comet of evil from reaching the earth and forever turning it into a planet ruled by darkness.
