Diversity-Tourist

One who praises diversity while living in a monoracial town/neighborhood.
"If you claim to love diversity, yet live in a white-majority neighborhood, you're just a diversity-tourist."

diversity glass

A bulletproof glass that protects a cashier. Almost always exclusively in black neighborhoods.
Did you see the new McDonalds in Baltimore? They put up diversity glass so the 'groes can't jump the counter.

Diversity Drone

Anyone who mindlessly adheres to the diversity creed.

Prone to Drone: Self-identified 'liberals'; moralistic vigilantes; anthropology majors.

Life cycle: Many people assimilate into drone-life after discovering that diversity is the solution to world conflict, becoming so obsessed with this ideal that their personality merges with the Hive-Mind. This causes them to engage in stereotyped and predictable behaviors such as: obtaining student leadership positions, becoming obstinately opposed to stereotypes, and becoming hateful towards the imagined Oppressor. Drones typically die off after obtaining jobs in the outside world.

How to recognize a drone: Drones can often be heard buzzing about "ethnic identity", "tolerance", and "multiculturalism", esp. when pressed about their comprehension of diversity. You won't find a depth of knowledge here, only the clever wielding of words to shame and demonize. Do not threaten further. Drones command the power of a guilty Nation.
"This modern dance performance is really pissing me off, it's ethnocentric and racist! What's with all of them having dark skin? It's not like ALL Ethiopian people have dark skin! I'm going to make a facebook group protesting the unjust portrayal of minority Ethiopian people in modern dance."

Diversity Ghetto

Window-dressing section of a college or corporate campus where most or all of an institution's diversity programs are placed. Often consists of a single floor, or single office, often in a remote or inaccessible part of the campus. Offices typically are understaffed, underfunded and expected to be experts on all issues black, brown and gay, and expected to deal with every life issue students of color, women and LGBT students face.
Person 1: Where is Dr. Liz Frazier's office?

Person 2: Who is that?

Person 1: She is head of Multicultural Affairs.

Person 2: Probably in the Diversity Ghetto. It's on the 3rd Floor of Smith Hall, on the other side of campus.

Person 1: Thanks. I have a question about racism.

Diversity Shield

When something is bad, but critiquing said thing isn't possible due to the diverse actions or portrayals that occur within.
A: I was bingeing shows on Netflix during Corona and I watched a really bad one called Another Life.
B: What's so bad about it?
A: Pretty much everything. To make sure it wasn't me I went to watch some reviews and noticed that any of them that didn't like the show will get people talking about how diverse the cast is or that there's a female lead.
B: But the shows still shit?
A: Oh yeah, but you can't say shit since the makers used their Diversity Shield to divert any genuine critical debate.

Diversity Overload

Similar to an electrical overload, but with diversity.
Mike: I'm getting a Diversity Overload with all of this diversity talk on TV and at work...
Jen: Check out my new "Kente" scarf.
Mike: Are you fucking kidding me right now?
