A term that is used for when someone is laughing so hard they begin to cough and sometimes the term can also be used to exaggerate the humor of such a joke / situation.

Jenna: Did you hear what Brad said last night, Jessica?

Jessica: No, what did Brad say?

Jenna: Brad was telling me about the time of when he got robbed by a Girlscout.

Jessica: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA I'M COUGHING HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
