One of a horse's gaits. It has three beats and is considered a controlled gallop. It is the next fastet gait from a trot. The leg that leads and is extened farthest is the lead that the horse is on. It is important that the horse is using the correct lead - in an arena, the horse should be on the inside lead.

The canter is my favorite gait.

Canned asparagus and spinach often taste like this after a lengthy time on the shelf. Spinach looses most its vit C within 24 hours after harvest, so imagine the nutritive value of processed spinach sitting in a can for 6 months.

I grew up on school cafeteria food and the staple vegetable was "canure spinach".

cauterize the phonebook

To remove the names of people from your phonebook that you no longer want to have the urge to call or text. Particularly those people who were the reciever of previous romantic advances or friends who have become "yucky" in some way or another. Can also be used to refer to regular clearing of business dead ends or ex-clients info.

person one: So hows the new unattached life going?

person two: After the first year, I needed to cauterize the phonebook in my berry, I think I was chasing too many possibilities. I keep texting old failed attempts. I need to chill out and focus on my own life.
