Blits wordt gebruikt op meerdere manieren en verschillende momenten. Blits heeft geen specifieke betekenis maar wordt algemeen meestal gebruikt wanneer iets 'goed', 'snel', 'denderend', 'mooi' of 'leuk' is. Meestal wordt het gebruikt als reactie op iets, maar het kan ook als bijvoeglijk naamwoord gebruikt worden. Het tegenovergestelde van blits is onblits.

In het kort, blits is denderend en goed en onblits/blots is dat niet

Mensen zullen het als 'blitz' typen, dit zijn onblitse/blotse mensen. 'Blitz' is Duits voor bliksem. Dit is wel waar 'blits' vandaan komt maar het is wel een ander woord.
