Quiet retiring is the same as quiet quitting except the individual is working towards retirement and they are tired of putting in all the extra work and getting nothing more or earning anything more. This fall for someone that’s within 1 to 5 years of retirement from there career and even possibly 10 years depending on their job and or age.
Person one: I’ve noticed Paul has been slowing now and just getting by with the workload.

when a worker is nudged out by a manager who can’t fire you but is making your job increasingly unpleasant and unrewarding, or slowly cutting your hours more and more

A perspective on life involving the increase of risks, reduction of safety protocols, and a lack of interest in protecting one's life. Combines the words quiet + suicide. Usually present in individuals that aren't desperate enough to actively seek death, but are unable to move forward in life. (Also Quie-cide)
Jimmy is committing quiecide when he drives over the speed limit with an ineffective helmet, he isn't seeking death, but doesn't fight to survive.
