2. A Character that is made of inanimate material often Latex, Rubber, PVC but also bubblegum, Soap, Bubbles and so on. Often has the properties of the material they are made from.
As the most common kind of Balloonies are made from rubber, specifically latex, the character is essentially an animate (living) Balloon and will often have a knot or valve/nozzle. As such most Balloonies can inflate themselves.

Since she is made of latex she has some unique properties, of course she can expand, like any balloon, but she is also unable to catch disease and is naturally very lightweight, she is also immortal since she is simply put back together again after she pops, retaining her memory."
2b. "She is such a cute balloonie, that latex hide of hers certainly comes with benefits. The shine from her latex just adds to her character. Full and taught with air, she is very cute. Although right now, she could use some more."
2c. "The Balloonie walked other to the air compressor, placed the end of the hose into their nozzle and turned the compressor on. The rushing air gradually making their hide grow larger and larger in size, Like a big balloon. Their latex hide, squeaking, groaning and stretching as it expands."
