Divers

Divers: A tongue-in-cheek term originating from a common mistake made by Dutch speakers who confuse the English word diverse with the Dutch divers, unintentionally referring to "divers" (as in "duikers" or underwater swimmers). In this usage, divers describes individuals who enter a community and advocate for change under the banner of diversity, but in ways that center their own perspectives while overlooking the existing culture. The term also implies that diversity may be rhetorically "weaponized" to avoid critique or deeper engagement.

I'm not sure if these divers realize they are chasing away people that have been in our community for years.

Diversity is powerful

A phrase used to define life diversity of all kinds. Diversity is powerful because where one lacks, the other surpasses. Diversity is neither good or bad, it is; Diversity is both good and bad and cannot be characterized as either or for the balance is too grand to put to scale.

Diversity is powerful because it creates an open mind and and let's you use your free will. A society with 1 mind is led in blinded unity, and a society with many minds is led by creative and strong thinking and beliefs.

A docker diver is someone who cannot keep their hands out of the ashtray and is constantly searching for another docker-fresh hit.

Floor Diver

One who has a tendency to get drunk of a small amount of alcohol...mainly four lokos. Then once full blown unexplainably drunk--spills, falls, and does ridiculous activities with little or no use of their body. All eventually leading them to fall to the floor covered in alcohol, food, trash or whatever else is in there way. These floor divers also enjoy talking shit to whoever they can at the party or on the street.

Joe we knew you shouldn't have drank those four lokos. You've been an expert Floor Diver all night.
