Internet Cop

Someone who exposes internet abusers, virus developers, hackers and posers. Has a wide variety of tricks at their disposal. Often internet cops are ex-hackers trying to go legit by exposing other hackers, etc.

I have to have three layers of hardware encrypted firewall between my LAN and WAN because of all my technically savy enemies. You see, I used to be internet cop.

This phrase came about after a cop named Jim appeared on the TV show Three Sheets and spilled beer all over himself when trying to drink or chug beer. Jim the cop'd means to spill on yourself while you are drinking.

Hank over there Jim the cop'd when he tried to chug that beer.

That jerk would have lost the chugging contest if he did not Jim the cop'd.

Beat Cop

A beat cop is a police officer who walks, rides, cycles, or drives in a specific neighborhood, known as a “beat.” Because the officer routinely patrols in the same area, he or she becomes well-known in the community, creating a positive relationship between law enforcement and the community.

Neighborhood residents will usually feel comfortable approaching the beat cop to talk about issues in the community, and they may be more inclined to report problems when they feel like they have a personal connection with the department.
