A Minnesota pharse that can be put into any sentence and still make perfect sense to another Minnesotan. In reality, these three words (two actually real words) are completely pointless, but nessicary to speak Minnesotan fluently (See also could be worse, you betcha.

I went to the store today, don't cha know. ~ Don't cha know, he was one of those liberal fellas. Crazy as hell, don't cha know. ~ I'm stuck in traffic again, don't cha know. (Please, you get the idea)

When in a conversation, the conversing individuals attempt to say "ya know" more times than the others. Similar to a dance-off.

Whoa, Dee just served him in that ya know battle, I think he said ya know 18 times in one minute.

A phrase uttered in an attempt to make an excuse pertaining to why something did or did not happen.

Most often said as filler when trying to put together the excuse or explanation.

Jimmy: Hey Lil' Ricky did you drink all my beer bitch?

Lil Ricky: Well uh you know guy... it was there and I was thristy so I put a hurtin on that shit.

Jimmy: Asshole.

When someone either genuinely does not know how to respond to something or is trying to avoid the topic of conversation. Often used to make situations awkward, and can be used to end conversations.

friend: my girlfriend just cheated on me
me: I'm so sorry to hear that
friend: I wish I could get over this in two seconds, ugh I hate life.
me: I don't know how to respond to that
