Die Figur des Mr. Yunioshi repräsentiert eine racially offensive, d.h. die Figur wird äußerst lächerlich dargestellt, spiegelt ein beleidigendes Bild eines japanischen Menschen und diskriminiert damit eine ganze Ethnie. In den USA waren Japaner aufgrund der Ereignisse im 2. Weltkrieg schlecht angesehen und wurden zu einem Feindbild, das in etlichen Hollywood-Produktionen zu erkennen ist.

(Noun) - A sense offender is someone who is offensive or unpleasant to the basic human senses (sight, smell, hearing etc.). This could include being loud at a late hour, having really bad flatulence and not excusing yourself, or anything that someone might find grotesque and undesirable.

To be offed is to be annoyed with something, as if one put a four letter taboo word before it. However, the taboo word becomes silent. Instead of saying 'I was completely ****ed off by someone', you'd say 'I was so offed by someone'.

I am getting so offed with the school. They don't understand my son's needs at all.
