- A form of flirtation that intentionally uses insults and back-handed comments towards a person or people.

- Trying to get someone interested in you by purposefully shoving them away.

- The opposite of normal rizz, where instead of using smooth talk, you straight-up deject your person of interest.

- Using negative rizz is kinda toxic, so don't do it too often.

Negative Helpful

The misinterpretation of someone's genuine efforts to problem-solve, provide solutions, or meet goals as being negative or pessimistic. Often encountered in workplaces or group projects where constructive feedback is misconstrued as criticism.

Every time I suggest a way to improve our process, they label me as "negative". I'm just trying to make things work better!

Negative Cue

The absence of something (some detail, signal, or anomaly) which highlights an answer to a problem or question.

Doctors used to believe all disease manifested as something foreign/outside the body attacking it. In the case of Scurvy, a lot of doctors got tunnel vision looking for a positive cue. (Some Germ or pathogen present that would explain the condition.) But none was to be found. It wasn't until biochemist Fredrick Gowland Hopkins considered what was absent (a lack of vitamin C) that the true cause of scurvy was discovered. This absence was a negative cue.
