Generation Y

The offspring of Generation X and the Baby boomers. Also known as the “me” generation. It’s a generation of young persons born typically between 1980 and 2000, and the offspring of dysfunctional parenting practices of Generation X that has resulted in inflated egos, entitlement, selfishness, materialism, debauchery, and a lack of responsibility. It’s the generation of the cell phone, IPOD, the iPhone, TIVO, Hannah Montana, High School Musical, Sponge Bob, and school shootings.

Generation Y is a troubled generation, and its values will be the eventual downfall of our country.

1. "That phone" (currently iphone) that everyone must have.

2. "That girl"- blonde hair, cheerleader, favorite color=pink.
3. A word that describes a person's name, looks, interests (in music or personal style), activities, or possessions that are miserably normal and the same as everyone else's.

Example 1
Girl 1: "So what's your favorite movie?"
Girl 2: "The Notebook."
Girl 1: "That's generic."

Example 2
"Adam's facebook status says: Who Dat!? Go Saints."..."How generic."

millennial generation

The generation which came of age in the 21st century. They're fond of tattoos and body piercings and spend all of their time exchanging pics of their latest drunken blowout on Facebook or Myspace. They talk constantly on their cell phones even in the bathroom and text messages back and forth even during exams. Reading is a chore unless its the latest entry on a friend's LiveJournal. The only books they have ever read completely are the Harry Potter novels

Overheard a college admnistrator recently "you've got to remember these students are part of the 'millennial generation'. They have the attention span of a gerbil and require constant stimulation."

Generation Rat

Someone who is spoiled with the current generation and all into it, unnormal.

Example: "Hey Boo! I missed you bae" "Oh stop calling me that, you're starting to sound like a generation rat!"

Example: " Dad! I asked you for the i phone 6 + but you get me just an android?!" "Hey, you either accept this phone, or i'm not giving you a phone at all, don't be such a goddamn generation rat!"

Dad: Hi hun, if don't you mind me asking, what did you accomplish in your life so far?
Daughter: "Remains on her phone silently."

Greatest Generation

An established(ie: long used) term referring to WW2 vets, however, it was self given(I think..) and is generally used in one of two ways...

1)arrogantly, often something along the lines of the first definition for this word(^)
2)by pacifists who wish to not seem that way or who wish to not be thought of as ungrateful

"Hey! We're the Greatest Generation you hippie punks!"

"What sacrifices, they truely are the greatest generation..."

Generation X

Group of people born in the 60s and 70s classified as lacking morals, respect, and a cause. A reactive generation generally viewed negatively by older generations. This generation has been shown to make up to 12% less than their fathers comparatively in 1974, halting the historical trend.

All the Generation Xers that I work with are broke and their parents do not understand why.
