Slugging

The act of carpooling together to ride on the HOV lane. This carpooling method allows people limit tolls charged and travel with limited traffic. A Slug is a playfully derogatory word for people who ride in another car for free. Usually used in areas where there are high areas of continuous traffic (DMV as an example).

Jack: "I had to go slugging to get to work on time today".
Jill: "What type of sexual induendo are you using this time to say you got a free ride today?! You better give a good answer or I am kicking you out of the house!"
Jack: "It's not, I swear! I am nothing but a dirty slug!"
Jill: "It's over, pack your bags!"
