Duck Check

The quick ducking action taken in a puclic restroom to see if any closed stalls are occupied. Often performed to assure safeness in performing a private conversation, whistling, or loud, obnoxious singing. If a duck check proves the company of another restroom-user, silence will ensue.

Bob: Yeah, so then she told me...
Rob: Hold on let me do a duck check.
Bob: Well?
Rob: You're good. There's no one here.

A computer "bug" that is the result of the operator pressing the wrong keys. Derived from "finger" (obviously) and "check" (meaning a computer-detected error).

Similar to "operator malfunction".

Yeah, the operator made a finger check and lost this week's payroll.

Sky Check

that thing your cat does when she/he wants to go outside only to stand or sit there for a short period of time then come back in

*cats meows at door for five minutes straight*

"Ok fine" *opens door cat runs out then closes door and begins to walk away* "meow meow meow" "damn you cat and your sky checks

or

*cats meows at door for five minutes straight*

"Ok fine" *opens door cat sits there and looks out* "well which is it?" *five minutes later* "which is you blasted cat?! Are you done with you sky check?!!!

Wrap both hands around the throat and ask her to swallow. If you feel an adam's apple, you might want to move on the the next chick at the bar.

Perform a choke check when you want to make sure its not a lady boy you are trying to take home.

If the lady boy has gone through a chondrolaryngoplasty, then the 'choke check' will fail

When you squat down in a public bathroom so you can check that gap under the door for feet, to learn whether or not a certain stall is empty

I wasn't sure whether the stall was occupied, so I casually performed a foot check.
