State Night

A state night is basically a "stay at home date night" where two partners (husband, wife, girlfriend, boyfriend, etc) decide to stay at home, cook themselves a fancy dinner, maybe some wine and dessert, and enjoy a nice meal together and spend time at home without going out. A state night can involve meal + movie at home or other type of romantic, intimate fun. A state night doesn't have any rules except for one, stay at home and have yourselves a date night.

Hey guys, what are you two doing Friday night, any big plans?

Not really. We're thinking about having a state night, grill some steaks and corn, bake some potatoes, a nice bottle of wine and maybe a movie.

Arizona State University. So called because of its devil mascot and liberal teachings perceived as of the Devil by some Christians.

The professor at Devil State taught that the white race is responsible for the evils of colonialism.

Moo State

A nickname for Mississippi State sports teams (primarily football), due to their fan's tendency to ring cowbells at football games. The cowbell tradition began to appear as early as the 1930s, and was banned from 1974-2010. Starting in 2011, SEC rules now allow limited ringing of them at football games.

State of Origin

Australia’s most prized possession. Three games a year of insanely intense rugby league between two teams aka states. Queensland (QLD) and New South Wales (NSW), but the two teams are usually referred to by the colour of their team and mascot animal. QLD maroons/ Cane Toads and NSW blues/ Cockroaches. They battle to the death, dirty neck grabs and fights are all apart of the fun. The three series game began in 1982 and so far Queensland leads with a staggering 23 more won series and a 8 year streak of wins. New South Wales trailing behind with 14 wins. Get ready for 2019!

Up the maroons! No, State of Origin is a game that only the blues can win!
