Death Wretch

Originated in early 1990's San Francisco Bay Area to describe the horrifyingly intense odor present in some people's houses, or the intense odor that's ever present on some people's clothes if they live in tight quarters such as boats without adequate ventilation.

10 years later after inventing the word it was confirmed that this odor is actually the smell of a heavily mold/mildew infested dwelling. The original usage of the word turned out to be accurate as it is known that breathing mold and mildew is toxic to humans.
