Furry Relationship

A furry relationship is where two people eDate without ever seeing eachother's faces, bodies, or hearing another person's voice. A Relationship like this is usually started over Discord, Twitter or other social media websites, where a person is represented as a virtual avatar with no connection to their physical look in the real world.

This is most popular in the furry fandom, however some online dating circles do this outside of the furry fandom.

A relationship where one hates another deeply in public, however secretly loves them in private. Similar to Helga and Arnold on the classic TV series, Hey Arnold.

Carissa seems to hate Steve, but I think she actually loves him. Looks like a Hey Arnold relationship to me.

Gender-Discordant Relationship

A relationship where the partners are of different sexes and have to work across the gender divide. Gender-discordant relationships rate lower for camaraderie and higher for power disparities than gender-aligned relationships.

“If the state’s going to make me a felon just for terminating a pregnancy then I’m never risking another gender-discordant relationship again. It’s just not worth it,” Jenna said.

Some Relationship

The term "some" (also known as the 'hook-up culture' in the western world) has become a popular lingo used in both the K-Pop and K-Drama scenes.

Here is a very basic understanding of being in a "some"-relationship: you have confirmed your feelings for one another but you are not officially in a relationship. You might be going through the motions of having a boyfriend/girlfriend, but you stay away from putting on labels between you and your "some"-partner.

You feel some-type-of-way for your partner but nothing too real to make it a committed relationship, yet.

Person 1: Were Shiwon and Yoonjae dating?
Person 2: No, they were in a some relationship.
